MU Online Chaos Card Guide – Types, Rewards & Rare Tickets

The Chaos Card system in MU Online lets you create special items such as Excellent items, Jewels, Pets, Tickets and more by using “cards” that you buy from the MU Item Shop. This guide explains, in simple English, how Chaos Cards work, the different types of cards, and what Rare Tickets you can get from them.

Quick summary: Buy a Chaos Card in the Item Shop (X key), take it to the Chaos Card Master in Lorencia, use it in the window, and receive a random reward – anything from normal items to wings, socket items, Fenrir and more, depending on the card type and your luck.

What Is a Chaos Card?

A Chaos Card is a special consumable item. When you “open” it at the Chaos Card Master NPC, the game gives you a random reward:

  • Excellent weapons and armors.
  • Jewels (Bless, Soul, Chaos, etc.).
  • Pets and special items.
  • Tickets for wings, ancient sets, socket items and more.

Chaos Cards were originally introduced around Season 2 and are still used on many servers in Season 20+ as a way to turn coins / Wcoins into items and tickets.

How to Buy a Chaos Card

You can only buy Chaos Cards from the MU Item Shop inside a safe zone.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to a Safe Zone in one of these maps:
    • Noria
    • Devias
    • Lorencia
    • Elbeland
  2. Press the X key to open the MU Item Shop.
  3. Find the Chaos Card section.
  4. Buy the type of Chaos Card you want using coins (Wcoins or server‑specific currency).

Types of Chaos Card

There are several types of Chaos Cards. Higher cards can give better rewards, including high-level items, pets and Rare Tickets.

Image Name Creates
Chaos Card Chaos Card Creates low-level items.
Chaos Card Mini Chaos Card Mini Creates mid-level items.
Chaos Card Gold Chaos Card Gold Creates mid-level items.
Chaos Card Blue Chaos Card Blue Creates high-level items.
Chaos Card Platinum Chaos Card Platinum Creates high-level items (best rewards).
Tip: Normal and Mini cards are nice for early gear and jewels. Blue and Platinum cards are what you want if you are hunting for Rare Tickets and top‑end items.

How to Use a Chaos Card

1. Go to the Chaos Card Master

Once you have a Chaos Card in your inventory, go to Lorencia and speak to the Chaos Card Master:

Rare Items & Rare Tickets

Some Chaos Card rewards are Rare Tickets. These are special coupons that can be exchanged for very strong items: wings, excellent weapons, ancient sets, socket items, Fenrir, and more.

These tickets are usually labeled Rare Ticket #1, #2, #3... and have different icons:

How to Exchange Rare Tickets

On official Webzen servers, many Rare Tickets are exchanged via a support ticket to Webzen’s Customer Service:

On private servers (like many Season 21+ custom servers), Rare Tickets may instead be exchanged by:

  • Handing them to a special NPC.
  • Using an automatic web tool linked to your account.
  • Trading them with a Game Master (GM) during special events.

Always read your server’s information page or forum thread to know the exact way to use your Rare Tickets.

Tips & Recommendations

  • Save Platinum/Blue cards for when you really want to chase Rare Tickets or end‑game items.
  • Check prices – sometimes buying items from players is cheaper than gambling cards.
  • Use events – some servers give Chaos Cards as event rewards, which is “free” gambling.
  • Don’t overspend early – chaos cards shine most when your character is already established.
  • Read your server’s list – exact rewards per card may vary slightly by server.

Conclusion

The Chaos Card system is basically MU Online’s “loot box” mechanic: you spend coins to get a chance at very powerful rewards such as wings, socket weapons, ancient sets, Fenrir and Archangel gear.

If you understand what each card can give and how the Rare Tickets work, you can decide when it’s worth spending your coins and when it’s better to trade with other players instead. Use this guide as a reference whenever you pull a new Rare Ticket and want to know exactly what it’s worth.
