What is Mu Online?
With endless MMORPGs floating all over the internet, having one dedicated to exploring medieval fantasy filled with epic quests and challenging monsters is why players remain loyal to a favorite Mu Online private server.
When you download the game, create your preferred class, and settle in for a long night of adventuring, you get to explore a massive open world where you could be battling crazy creatures, forming new alliances with other players, or engaging in thrilling PvP battles.
A crucial aspect of the MuOnline top 100 servers is understanding how to progress through each character class. The better you get at the game and the more experience you accrue, the stronger your evolution into specialized class versions. Over time, you’ll unlock new skills and abilities that customize your character and keep you hooked on the action.
To date, the most anticipated version is Mu Online season 20. We just saw the launch of season 19, part 3, on August 16, 2024. The new season promises unique characters, expansive realms (zones), legendary wings, an enhanced crafting system, exclusive jewels, companion pets, and more.
First, it helps to get comfortable with the type of class you wish to choose.
Meet the Classes of Mu Online
Understanding your playing style is the trick to finding the best-fit MuOnline class for your unique needs. How you experience the game depends on whether you prefer close combat, ranged attacks, casters, or supportive roles.
Here is a quick overview of the primary classes you’ll find on any Mu Online private server.
Dark Knight
Home to Lorencia, the Dark Knight provides you with a close combat class that uses special abilities and intense physical attacks through sword-styled weapons. You have to love being right in the middle of a skirmish to fully enjoy playing as a Dark Knight. As you advance, you can grow into specialties like the Blade Master, Dragon Knight, and more.
Dark Wizard
Every decent MMORPG has to have a spellcaster of some sort. Starting with the Mu Online download game option, you can select the Dark Wizard class. Your spells cause massive damage by controlling the battlefield with either targeted or AoE spells. Eventually, you can rank up to a Soul Master or Grand Master. You prefer staff-styled weapons and call Lorencia home.
Fairy Elf
Agility is the name of the game for the Fairy Elf. Mu Online Season 20 includes using the Fairy Elf to deal ranged damage through bow-type weapons. As a Noria-homed character, you love versatility. The trick here is to focus on support or direct attacks. As you progress, you’ll want the Agility Elf or Energy Elf track that eventually leads to a Muse Elf or High Elf. This is a good class if you like to slip between solo and party playing.
Magic Gladiator
For those players who want to smash the abilities of the Dark Knight and Dark Wizard together, there is the Lorencia starting point of the Magic Gladiator. As a hybrid class, you can wield both swords and spells, a perfect fit for those who want to experiment with where they fit into the battlefield. You are a jack of all trades that loves to diversify your adventures.
Dark Lord
The Lorencian Dark Lord is extremely unique to other MuOnline classes. Instead of focusing on a single weapon or attack style, you command powerful pets like the Dark Horse and Dark Raven. You are a natural leader who likes to buff guildmates and allies while ensuring your pets are doing your bidding in every battle so you can survey the rest of the field for new opportunities.
Summoner
Like the Dark Lord, the Summoner prefers to have others fight for them. However, instead of natural animals, you summon the awesome power of monsters through prayers and meditation. Even better, you get access to crazy powerful spells like Chain Lightning, which makes you a formidable opponent in PvE and PvP.
Rage Fighter
Not everyone exploring the MuOnline top 100 wants to deal with spells. Many prefer the holistic power of a martial arts master. The Rage Fighter is your solution with physical damage that grows exponentially as you rain down fits of fury onto your opponents. You’re from Kalutan and get your special skills and buffs from the ancient bloodline of Kalutan Royal Knights.
Grow Lancer
Any guild running a large battlefield wants a crew of Grow Lancer characters on call. Anyone who prefers to mix defense and offensive skills should seek a Grow Lancer on a Mu Online private server. You are naturally resistant to most elemental damage and can amp up your physical attacks to incredible levels.
Slayer
Originally from Lorencia and reborn through Kundun experiments, you are a half-breed providing agile and swift melee attacks. If your Mu Online download game-playing intent is to quickly get in to attack and then get out just as fast, this is your class of choice. As a demi-human, you have truly unique skills that offer a more precise attack strategy.
Gun Crasher
Introducing guns into any medieval MMORPG is always controversial, but this Imperial Order of Gun Crashers was done right. After passing through endless training, you know how to use magic to enchant guns for both physical and magical damage. This Mu Online class is best for those who love a little mechanical instrumentation in their gameplay.
Rune Wizard
As a half-elf, you are left outside the MU Empire because inter-species breeding is looked down upon. However, that doesn’t stop you from being an offensive spellcaster with amplified powers, including casting more than two spells simultaneously to cause serious damage over a much larger AoE.
White Wizard
You are created from doppelgangers to combat the world of Dark Wizards. You use a staff, magic books, and light energy with some supportive defense magic and incredible attack spells. Even though this is a relatively new Mu Online download game character, you can level up pretty quickly with store-bought items.
Mage
Mage is different from the other spellcasting classes in Mu Online. You need to use spheres to cast magic and gain new skills through orbs. While your HP and defense are kind of low, your magic attack power is high, and you have some secondary magic that helps party members in battle.
Illusion Knight
The Illusion Knight is also a newer class with an extremely cool way of wielding swords. You create phantom swords of all shapes, sizes, and power levels to fight. You can enhance different skills to inflict higher levels of damage.
New for Mu Online Season 20: The Alchemist
Originally launched toward the end of season 19, the Alchemist is considered a magic class but relies on mixing different materials together. You use a staff as your primary weapon and elixirs as sub-weapons. Both your defense and magic attack power is high and you can boost a lot of stats in your party. This is an extremely versatile class that is likely to change how MuOnline is played.
