Light Wizard at a glance (Webzen's White Wizard: Kundun Mephis)

"Light Wizard" is the private-server name for the class, used on this site and in the ranking filter. Webzen released it as White Wizard "Kundun Mephis" in the same update that introduced the Lemuria Mage.

MUOnline.ai runs on Season 21 Part 3 server files.

Evolution path: Light Wizard to Glory Wizard

The server's class table uses its own names; Webzen's names are in brackets where they differ.

1. Light Wizard (1st class, Webzen: White Wizard): Magical Shot, Shining Bird, Dragon Violent and Reflection Barrier.
2. Light Master (2nd class, same name at Webzen): adds Teleport Ally, Nova, Plasma Storm and Expansion of Wizardry.
3. Shining Wizard (3rd class, Webzen: Shine Wizard): Spear Storm and the master skill tree.
4. Luminous Wizard (4th class, same name at Webzen): Enhancement Skills for Spear Storm, Shining Bird and Dragon Violent.
5. Glory Wizard (5th class): MUOnline.ai's name for the fifth stage.

The fifth stage is real in the server's game data: the item file flags the Temple Guard White Wizard and Imperial White Wizard sets for it, and the skill file flags Spear Storm of Saturation. Webzen introduced its 5th Class Advancement on 10 September 2024 with its own level and quest rules; they are not verified as this server's requirements.

Light Wizard stat build (60,000 max stats on both realms)

Both realms cap every stat at 60,000. The builds below are our recommendation: stat priorities with the reasons behind them, not server-tested point splits.

Energy PvE farming build

Put almost everything into Energy. It drives wizardry damage and unlocks every spell: Shining Bird needs 70 Energy, Reflection Barrier 408, Dragon Violent 680, Nova 1,052 and Spear Storm 1,160. Add Strength and Agility only as far as your staff, book and set require.

Energy + Agility PvP build

Keep Energy as the main stat and move a larger share into Agility for attack speed and defence. Add Vitality only when melee classes keep reaching you; it is HP padding, not damage.

Beginner build for your first resets

Spend points to reach the next Energy requirement before anything else. Dragon Violent unlocks at level 50 but needs 680 Energy, so a Light Wizard who spreads points early casts Shining Bird for much longer.

Light Wizard skills (from the server's SkillList.xml)

Values come from the server's skill file. The base value feeds the damage formula and is not final in-game damage. Each spell has its own page in the skills database.

Shining Bird is the standout early spell: base value 130 for 5 mana at only 70 Energy.

4th and 5th stage enhancements

The 4th stage adds Enhancement Skills for Spear Storm, Shining Bird and Dragon Violent. The 5th stage adds Spear Storm of Saturation (level 160, 1,160 Energy, 108 mana plus 7 AG).

Weapons, sets and cloaks (wings)

Staffs and Magic Books

Staffs are shared with the Dark Wizard and Magic Gladiator, from the Angelic Staff up to the Lightning Staff (level 1,500). Magic Books are exclusive to the Light Wizard: Basic, Elemental, Attribute and Shining Feather early on, then Wise (level 380), Legendary and Blood Angel (400), Dark Angel (600), Holy Angel (800), Soul (900), Blue Eye (1,000), Silver Heart (1,100), Manticore (1,200), Brilliant (1,300), Apocalypse (1,400) and Lightning (1,500). The Temple Guard (1,500) and Imperial (1,600) staffs and books are flagged for the 5th stage.

Cloaks: the Light Wizard's wings

• Small White Cloak (level 1) and Pure White Cloak (level 150)
• Cloak of Innocence (level 215, 2nd stage)
• Cloak of Brilliance (level 400, 3rd stage; level 800, 4th stage)
• 5th-stage cloak (level 1,200), with Pure Virtue and Pure Punishment Wing Cores at level 1,200

VIP accounts get Chaos Machine rates of 100% for 2nd to 5th wings and 99% for +10 to +15 upgrades, a VIP perk exclusive to MUOnline.ai. On the Speed Realm Autumn Edition every new character starts with a Blood Angel set in the inventory. Browse Light Wizard sets and magic books.

Leveling a Light Wizard on both realms

Permanent Realm (5000x)

Progress runs on resets. A Grand Reset needs 20 resets, level 400 and 50,000,000 Zen, up to 20 Grand Resets per account per 24 hours per realm. Icewind Castle runs twice a day here.

Speed Realm Autumn Edition (99,999x)

Spell unlocks come quickly and Icewind Castle runs 8 times a day. It is a limited season: after it closes you can export up to 2 characters per account to the Permanent Realm in a one-time batch. No close date has been set yet.

Leveling route

1. Turn on auto-stat with /addstr auto X so points go in while you level.
2. Farm with Shining Bird from level 30; it costs only 5 mana.
3. Switch to Dragon Violent once you reach level 50 and 680 Energy.
4. Make Spear Storm your main spell after the 3rd class.
5. Pick spots for your level on the maps page and check event timers on the events page.

Our rating puts the Light Wizard strong against the Lemuria Mage and Illusion Knight, and weak against the Slayer and Gun Crusher. This is MUOnline.ai's own matchup rotation, not live PvP statistics.
