Alchemist at a glance

Webzen added the Alchemist in Season 20 Part 1; it is included in the Season 21 Part 3 server files MUOnline.ai runs.

Evolution path: Alchemist to Creator

The server's class table lists five ranks. The names below are the ones shown in the ranking class filter; Webzen's guides call the middle three "Alchemic". Each rank opens new gear and skills in the server files:

On both realms the /evoquest command is listed as a fast class upgrade, so you do not have to walk each quest step by hand. The rest of the command list is on the realm hub.

Alchemist stat build under the 60,000 cap

Both realms cap every stat at 60,000. Every Alchemist skill in the server's SkillList.xml asks for Energy only: 70 for Angel Homunculus, 680 for Ignition Bomber, 850 for Confusion Stone and 1,025 for Countless Weapon, with no Strength, Agility or Vitality requirement. Wands and elixirs carry Energy requirements as well, so Energy is your damage stat.

The splits below are our suggestion, not a formula. The server data holds no damage formulas, so there are no percentages to quote.

Energy PvE farming build

Put your points into Energy and add Vitality only when boss zones start to kill you. Your skills and weapons need nothing else.

PvP and event build

Keep Energy dominant, then add Agility for defense and Vitality for HP. A caster with low HP drops fast to melee classes in Castle Siege and Chaos Castle.

Beginner build for the first resets

1. Add Energy with /addene X as you level; /addvit X and /addagi X work the same way.
2. Type /reset when you reach the reset level. The character returns to level 1 and keeps its reset bonus. VIP5 accounts can use /reset auto.
3. After 20 resets, reach level 400 with 50,000,000 zen for a Grand Reset (max 20 per account every 24 hours, counted per realm).

On the Speed Realm Autumn Edition every character starts with a Blood Angel set in the inventory. The Alchemist version needs level 400 and the 3rd class, so a pure Energy build from level 1 gets you there quickly at 99,999x EXP. The Permanent Realm at 5000x is the long-term home for your main.

Webzen introduced these four signature skills with the class. The values below come from the SkillList.xml file both realms run.

Core skills (level, mana, AG, Energy required)

Confusion Stone deals no base damage; use it to control a fight and let the summon and Countless Weapon do the damage.

Each skill is learned from a Law Book in the scrolls section of the server's ItemList.xml:

• Softness: Confusion Stone Law Book (level 380, Energy 850)
• Softness: Countless Weapon Law Book (level 400, 3rd class, Energy 1,025)

Wands, elixirs, sets and wings

Wand and elixir progression

The Alchemist holds a wand and a matching elixir at every tier. Early wands (Red Eye, Benito Aitwand, Iolite) and elixirs (Performance, Catalyst, Abyss, Atomic) have no level requirement.

Alchemist armor sets by level

Starter sets are Alchemist Spirit, Holy Spirit and Red Spirit. Radiant opens at the 2nd class, Integrity at level 380 and Justice at level 400 with the 3rd class. From there the Alchemist sets follow the same ladder as the wands: Blood Angel (400) through Lightning (1500), then Temple Guard (1500) and Imperial (1600) for the Creator.

• Wings of Heaven, level 150 (shared 1st wings)
• Wings of Soul, level 215, 2nd class (shared 2nd wings)
• Wings of Guardian, level 400, 3rd class (Alchemist only)
• Wings of Purity, level 800, 4th class (Alchemist only)
• Wings of Wisdom, level 1200, Creator (Alchemist only)

Webzen added the Alchemist's level 3 to 5 wings on 19 August 2025. With in-game VIP on MUOnline.ai, the Chaos Machine succeeds 100% on 2nd to 5th wings and 99% on +10 to +15 upgrades; VIP details are on the realm hub. Browse every Alchemist wand, elixir and set on the items page.

Leveling an Alchemist on both realms

Permanent Realm (5000x)

5000x EXP, 60,000 max stats, medium jewel drops and harder bosses, with no closing date. The Angel Homunculus summon makes early solo farming comfortable. Pick hunting spots by level on the maps page and compare your progress on the Permanent Realm ranking.

Speed Realm Autumn Edition (99,999x)

99,999x EXP, 60,000 max stats, a Blood Angel set in the inventory, easier bosses and Icewind Valley 8 times a day. It opened on Friday 2 October 2026, 16:00 CEST, is live now and runs for a few weeks; no closing date is set yet. After it closes you can export 2 characters to the Permanent Realm.

On both realms the loop is the same: level, /reset, repeat, then Grand Reset.

For event practice, Blood Castle starts 22 times a day and Chaos Castle six times a day; the times are on the events page in UTC. Castle Siege on this server lasts 60 minutes, Saturday 21:00-22:00 UTC. Compare realms: Permanent 5000x vs Speed Realm Autumn Edition 99,999x.

Strong against and weak against (our rating)

This is MUOnline.ai's own PvP rating, not game data. We rate the Alchemist strong against the Crusader and Dark Knight, and weak against the Lemuria Mage and Illusion Knight. If you want a classic Energy caster instead, compare it with the Dark Wizard, or go back to all MU Online classes.
