Important: Download the New MU Online Season 21 Client

⚠️ TL;DR – Old Client = No Login

The MU Online AI union has fully upgraded to Season 21. This includes all partner worlds like FuryMU, RichMU, VoltMU and SilverMU.

If you are still using an old client (Season 6 / 9 / 19 / 20 etc.), you will NOT be able to connect.
You may see errors like “Connection failed”, “Version mismatch” or instant disconnection after server select.

To keep playing with your existing account and characters, you MUST:

• Download the new MU Online AI Season 21 client.
• Install / extract it into a fresh folder.
• Launch the new client and log in with your usual account.

Why We Switched to a Season 21 Client

The MU Online AI project started from classic Season 6, moved through Season 19 / 20, and is now united on Season 21. To support all the new stuff, the old clients are simply not enough anymore.

The new Season 21 client gives you:

• Crusader / Paladin class support and updated skill effects.
• Access to new end‑game maps like Aquilas‑style zones (depending on server).
• Support for Legendary / Imperial gear, new wings and jewel systems.
• Better stability, anti‑cheat and performance across the union servers.

Old clients don’t understand these systems, so they can’t talk to the upgraded Season 21 servers.

What Happens to My Account and Characters?

Your account, characters and items stay on the server database, not in your client folder. Installing the new Season 21 client does NOT delete your account.

• You log in on the new client with the same username and password.
• Your characters, levels, resets and items are still there (unless a server did a wipe and announced it separately).
• The only thing that changes is the game engine and files you use to connect.

Think of it like changing your launcher for the same game world. Same account, stronger client.

How to Download and Install the Season 21 Client

Follow these steps to avoid random crashes, version errors or bugged textures:

1. Go to the official download page
   Visit our download section:
   https://www.muonline.ai/download
   and grab the latest MU Online AI Season 21 client.
2. Choose full client (recommended)
   If you’re unsure, always pick the full client, not a patch only. That way you avoid missing DLLs, textures or sounds.
3. Extract to a fresh folder
   Do not extract over your old client. Use a clean folder like:
   C:\Games\MUOnlineAI_S21\
4. Add to antivirus exceptions (optional but helpful)
   Many antivirus programs don’t like old game launchers. If you get random crashes or blocked files, add the whole MU Online AI folder to your exceptions / whitelist.
5. Run Launcher as Administrator
   Right‑click Launcher.exe (or main.exe) and choose “Run as administrator”, especially on Windows 10/11.
6. Select your server and log in
   Pick FuryMU, RichMU, VoltMU, SilverMU or any other MU Online AI union world from the server list, then log in with your usual credentials.

Old Client Issues You Can Ignore Now

If you are still using an old launcher, you might see:

• “Connection failed” right after you press Connect.
• “Invalid version” / “Version mismatch” message.
• Instant disconnect after selecting your character.
• Invisible items, broken skill icons or weird visual bugs.

All of this basically means: you’re not on the Season 21 client yet. Once you install and use the new MU Online AI launcher, these problems should disappear.

• Q: Do I lose my characters if I install the new client?
  A: No. Characters are on the server. The client is just your way to connect.
• Q: Can I keep my old client for other servers?
