Best MU Online class by playstyle

Our rating on MUOnline.ai, updated September 2026, for 60.000 max stats with resets and Grand Resets on every realm.

Best class for beginners

Beginner guides on viciadosmu.com.br and mutop100.com recommend Dark Knight first: the highest base HP of the original classes, simple melee and the most guides. Grow Lancer is their second pick for balanced stats and self-healing. Blade Knight and Soul Master are first evolutions of Dark Knight and Dark Wizard, not separate classes.

Best class for PvP and duels

Durable melee and single-target burst win duels: Dark Knight, Magic Gladiator, Rage Fighter and Slayer lead our PvP tier. Compare their skills on the skills page.

Best class for PvE farming and bosses

Casters with wide area skills farm fastest: Dark Wizard, Lemuria Mage and Rune Wizard, with Magic Gladiator as the hybrid option.

Best class for Castle Siege and guild wars

Sieges reward survivability and buffs: Dark Lord and Elf anchor siege guilds, backed by knights such as Dark Knight and Crusader.

On MUOnline.ai the siege runs weekly: registration opens on the first cycle day at 16:00 UTC and the siege stage lasts 60 minutes, Saturday 21:00-22:00 UTC. See the Castle Siege schedule and registration.

Best class for solo leveling on 5000x vs 99.999x

On the Permanent Realm (5000x EXP, harder bosses, medium jewel drops), self-sufficient classes such as Dark Knight, Magic Gladiator or Grow Lancer pay off long term.

On the Speed Realm Autumn Edition (99.999x EXP, easier bosses, a Blood Angel set in your inventory), pick the class you want to keep: up to 2 characters can be exported to the Permanent Realm when the realm closes. Compare Permanent Realm and Speed Realm Autumn Edition for stat commands such as /addstr and reset rules.

How class evolution works (1st to 5th class)

An evolution upgrades the same class with new skills and gear access; it never turns a Dark Knight into another class. Most lines have five names in the server's class table:

  • Dark Knight → Blade Knight → Blade Master → Dragon Knight → Ignition Knight
  • Crusader → Impact Crusader → Master Paladin → Sacred Paladin → Templar Commander (Webzen: Temple Guard Commander)

Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord, Rage Fighter and Grow Lancer start at the equivalent of the 2nd evolution, so their lines have four names, for example Magic Gladiator → Duel Master → Magic Knight → Duple Knight.

On MUOnline.ai the /evoquest command is a fast class upgrade, and 5th-evolution characters such as Ignition Knight, Templar Commander, Creator and Royal Elf play on both realms. Evolution skills are on the skills page.

In Webzen's own game the 5th Class Advancement arrived in Season 19-1 (10 September 2024) at level 1,200, via three quests from the NPC Eunice; whether that quest flow applies here is being verified.

Newest classes: Alchemist and Crusader

Alchemist is a magic class armed with a wand and elixirs. It starts in Elbeland and uses skills such as Angel Homunculus, Ignition Bomber, Countless Weapon and Confusion Stone. Webzen added it with Season 20 Part 1 on 22 July 2025.

Crusader is a holy knight of the light god Lugard who fights with hammer and shield, mixing light-powered damage with party support. It launched in Korea on 30 September 2025 and globally with Season 21-1 Part 1 on 21 July 2026.

Both have five evolutions here, ending in Creator and Templar Commander, and characters of both play on the two realms. Webzen Korea's April 2026 renewal of Illusion Knight, Elf, Lemuria Mage, Magic Gladiator and Gun Crusher is not part of this server's files.
