Which realm is right for you?
New and PvP-first players usually start on the Speed Realm Autumn Edition: every character begins with a Blood Angel set in the inventory, gear comes fastest, and your best characters can move to the Permanent Realm later. Long-term collectors and guild builders start on the Permanent Realm, which stays online for good.
Export up to 2 characters to the Permanent Realm
Each account can export up to 2 characters from the Speed Realm to the Permanent Realm in a single, one-time batch. You must be offline on both realms and have free character slots on the Permanent Realm. The export still works after the Speed Realm closes.
Both realms progress through resets and Grand Resets (20 resets, level 400 and 50,000,000 Zen; at most 20 per account per 24 hours per realm). Read the full reset, Grand Reset and command rules, or create a free account.
What is MU Online, and is it still active in 2026?
MU Online is a free-to-play fantasy MMORPG by Webzen. It launched commercially in South Korea in November 2001 and globally in English on 6 October 2003, so November 2026 marks 25 years. Webzen's game started with three classes and has 16 today.

Webzen publishes patch notes every Tuesday, most recently on 22 September 2026. Season 21-1 Part 1 added the Crusader on 21 July 2026. The 2nd update on 11 August 2026 brought the Sanctuary of Aquilas and a new server, Idavoll, and Part 3 on 1 September 2026 added the Aquilas Elite Zone.

Which season is current, and is there a Season 22?
MUOnline.ai runs on Season 21 Part 3 server files (the label used for this private-server release; it is not a Webzen version). Webzen's own global game is on Season 21-1 Part 3 (1 September 2026); Webzen has not announced a Season 22 as of September 2026. Follow updates on the news page.
Official game vs private server: what is different here
MUOnline.ai is an independent private server, not affiliated with Webzen; Webzen's own game is at muonline.webzen.com. The 16 classes, maps, items, skills and Castle Siege come from the server files. These features are exclusive to MUOnline.ai and not part of Webzen's game:
- 5000x and 99.999x EXP rates, resets and Grand Resets
- GP web currency, Vote Points, Daily Rewards and Guild Points
- Volt and Vibrant Jewels
- The server's own event times
How to start playing MU Online in 3 steps
- Create a free account. Sign up on the registration page; no payment is needed.
- Download the Windows client. Pick the Google Drive, Mega or MediaFire mirror. You need Windows 10 64-bit at minimum (Windows 11 recommended). This server is PC only: there is no Steam, Android, iOS or Mac version. If Windows SmartScreen appears, choose More info, then Run anyway. System requirements, mirrors and troubleshooting are on the download page.
- Log in, pick a realm and a class. Choose the Speed Realm Autumn Edition or the Permanent Realm at the realm selector. Spend stat points with /addstr, /addagi, /addvit and /addene, and use /reset once your character qualifies (requirements per realm). Daily Rewards unlock when your account is 60 minutes old and you have a level-50 character.

Each card in the class grid above links to a full guide. The two newest classes:
- Crusader: a hammer-and-shield hybrid powered by light. It launched in Korea on 30 September 2025 and in Webzen's global game on 21 July 2026. It evolves into Impact Crusader, Master Paladin, Sacred Paladin and Templar Commander (Webzen: Temple Guard Commander).
- Alchemist: a wand-and-elixir class from Webzen's Season 20-1 update, global since 22 July 2025. Its final evolution on this server is Creator.
A few classes carry different names in Webzen's game: Rune Wizard (Rune Mage), Light Wizard (White Wizard: Kundun Mephis), Lemuria Mage (Mage: Lemuria) and Illusion Knight (Illusion Knight: Jacquard).
Best class for a beginner
The viciadosmu.com.br beginner guide points to the Dark Knight: the highest base HP of the original classes and simple melee, evolving up to Ignition Knight. vsphone.com suggests the Grow Lancer for self-sustain. Tier lists and PvP, PvE and siege picks are on the classes hub.

Each verified vote earns 1 VP, with a 12-hour cooldown between rewards. The vote link is on the community page.
Daily missions and streaks
Daily Rewards pay up to 15 VP a day and reset on Amsterdam time: vote 1, invite 2, share 1, play 30 minutes 2, gain a Grand Reset 6, check in 1, plus a Daily Chest worth 2 VP after 3 missions. Streaks of 3, 7, 14 and 30 days add 2, 5, 12 and 30 VP.
Invites, shares and guild points
Invite milestones pay 2 to 20 VP (up to 80 VP a day) and approved shares 5 to 40 VP (up to 120 VP a day). Guild Points buy guild-wide VIP, from Guild VIP3 for 7 days at 150 points to Guild VIP5 for 30 days at 1,500. Full tables are on the community page.
Is it pay to win?
GP and VIP can also be bought with Stripe or PayPal from 1 EUR, and supporters get an XP bonus from +2% at 5 EUR up to +89% at 950 EUR. VIP raises Chaos Machine success to 99% for +10 to +15 and 100% for 2nd to 5th wings. Max stats stay at 60.000 for everyone.
