MU Online Commands and Hotkeys (Season 21)
MU Online is packed with powerful commands and keyboard shortcuts. Learning them makes everything faster: from managing your store and stats, to chatting with your guild, to tweaking the camera and MU Helper. This guide brings together the most useful slash commands and hotkeys, based on modern Season 21–style servers. Some commands can be server‑specific, so always check your server’s own guide as well.
How Commands Work in MU Online
Commands are usually typed into the chat window and start with a slash (/).
Many actions can also be done through the in‑game command window.
-
Type a command: Press Enter, type something like
/pkclearor/addstr 500, then press Enter again. - Command window: Press D to open the command menu. You can click actions there instead of typing the slash commands.
- Target‑based commands: For things like trade or party, select the target character first, then use the command or the option in the D menu.
Core Slash Commands (Quick Reference)
These are the commands you’ll use most often on Season 21–style servers, including store, stats, PK control and inventory management.
Store & Trading
/store coin– Open personal store selling items for Coins./store gp– Open personal store selling items for Goblin Points./store ruud– Open personal store selling items for Ruud./offtrade– Keep your store open while your character is offline (offline store).
Note: Not all commands are active, this is different par realm. The mu online server admin decides what commands are enabled or disabled.
Leveling & Stats
/offlevel– Enable offline leveling (MU Helper continues after you close the game, if your server supports it)./reset– Resets your character on servers with a reset system (check your rules before using)./addstr <amount>– Add Strength./addagi <amount>– Add Agility./addvit <amount>– Add Vitality./addene <amount>– Add Energy./addcmd <amount>– Add Command (for Dark Lord).
Auto stats: On many servers you can use commands like
/addstr auto X to auto‑distribute points to a stat while leveling.
Use the same command without the value (e.g. /addstr auto) to turn it off.
PK & Character Utility
/pkclear– Instantly clears your PK status / kills./online– Shows how many players and GMs are currently online (if enabled on your server)./infoquest– Shows extra quest information (usage depends on server configuration).
PK note: After intense PvP or accidental kills, use /pkclear
to reset your PK status and avoid guards or other penalties on many servers.
Inventory & Vault Management
/openvault– Open vault/warehouse without visiting the NPC (if enabled)./clearinv– Clear your normal inventory./cleareventinv– Clear event inventory./clearmuuninv– Clear Muun inventory./clearvault– Clear vault/warehouse contents.
Warning: Clear commands usually delete items permanently. Make sure you really want to wipe that inventory before using them. ( Not all commands are active )
Chat & Communication Commands
MU Online has powerful chat shortcuts for global, trade, guild and party communication. Some are typed as commands, others are single‑character prefixes.
Global & Trade Messages
/post <message>– Global message to everyone on the server./tpost <message>– Global message to the trade channel (on servers that use a separate trade post)./gpost <message>– Global message across sub‑servers (where enabled).- F4 / F5 – Adjust chat window display and size on many clients.
Most servers require a minimum level or small fee (Zen or WCoin) to use global posts, to reduce spam. Check your server rules.
Guild, Alliance & Party Chat
@message– Send a message to your guild.@@message– Send a message to your guild alliance.~message– Party chat.@>message– Guild notice (usually guild master only).#message– Extended duration message (stays on screen longer on some servers).
These prefixes are typed directly into the chat input before your message, not as commands.
Chat Convenience
- Enter – Open / close chat input.
- F1 – Help or in‑game guide window on many servers.
- F2 – Toggle chat or Block Users window (varies by client).
- F3 – Whisper mode / private messages window.
Use whispers for 1‑to‑1 trade negotiations and party invites, and /post
or /gpost for wide announcements.

MU Helper & Party Control Tips
MU Helper is essential for AFK leveling and long grinds. Combine it with party tools and shortcuts to make leveling smoother:
- Z opens MU Helper settings – configure skills, potions, pick‑up rules and range.
- Use COMBO correctly by setting the skill sequence in MU Helper (Skill 1 → Skill 2 → Skill 3 with proper delay).
- Party leaders can often use special options (like Assign Helper) to control helper usage for all members on certain servers.
- Some servers support Ctrl + middle‑click to toggle MU Helper for all party members at once.
Exact MU Helper options vary a bit, but the UI is similar across most Season 21 clients. Always test your configuration in a safe spot before leaving your character AFK.
Server Differences & Final Tips
MU Online has many versions and private servers, and not every command is identical everywhere.
Some servers may add extra commands (like /offtrade or special event commands),
change requirements for /post, or disable powerful options like
/openvault outside of town.
- Press D in‑game to see the command window and available actions.
- Check your server’s website or Discord for a dedicated “Commands” or “Controls” page.
- Be very careful with any command that includes the word clear.
- Practice a few key combos (inventory, stats, MU Helper, map) until they become muscle memory.
Once these commands and hotkeys are second nature, you’ll move, fight, trade and manage your character much faster than relying on menus alone.
